About me

Welcome stranger to my very own patch of the Internet!

I guess if you’re here then you’re interested in getting to know a little about me.

I’m 29 years old, live in Geelong and I have a very expensive piece of paper from Deakin University, where I studied a Bachelor of Arts(Media and Communications) majoring in Media and Communications/Journalism and minoring in politics.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at University and it cemented my desire to become a professional in the media and communications sector. Through my studies and my background in Information Technology, I have developed a unique set of skills in research and writing online that I have been able to mesh with traditional communication and journalism practices.

During my time as a student I was lucky enough to undertake internships at the Melbourne branch of ABC News Radio and at The Standard newspaper in Warrnambool, both of which have allowed my work to be published on-line, in print and broadcast over the radio. You can find a number of my published works in the Published Work section of the site. If you can’t tell, 6 years on and I’m still proud of the time I spent with these organisations.

I’m lucky enough to be the head of the Digital, Data and IT department at a national not-for-profit education organisation where I get to combine my love of tech, writing and doing some good for the world.

Looking around this site you might see some of my works on various topics or latest the project that has me captivated. I’m not going to lie, I get busy and forget to update the site from time to time.

Feel free to drop me a line and let me know what you think of my work, to suggest a project or just to say “hi!”.
