My name’s Matthew. I’m a Geelong/Bellarine Peninsula based marketing and communications professional with over a decade of experience spanning content, digital marketing, website management, copywriting and strategy. I’m passionate about the intersection of communications, technology and data, and how we use it to tell meaningful stories and drive real improvement.

I’m a lifelong learner. In recent years, I’ve earned my Remote Pilot Licence (sub-25kg drone endorsement), completed a Graduate Certificate in Marketing, and studied Digital Marketing Strategy through Harvard Business School Online. Before that, I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications/Journalism) at Deakin University and became a Certified Scrum Master.

Currently, I manage marketing and communications at Marcus Oldham College, a leading higher education institution in agriculture and agribusiness based in Geelong. Before that, I spent six and a half years at a national education not-for-profit in roles ranging from Digital and Social Media Manager to Head of Digital, Data and IT.

It’s been a while since I worked as a journalist, but I’m still proud of the pieces I wrote. You can find a few of them in the ‘Published Works’ section of this site.

I’ll be honest, I get busy. Between full-time work, parenting and trying to squeeze in family time and hobbies, this site sometimes falls off the radar. But I’m glad you’re here.
